Lockwood & Miller Jeep Trails
After talking to a bunch of our friends and other local wheelers, we found that pretty much everyone had heard of Miller Jeep Trail however... no one we know had actually run it, most of us didn't even know where the heck it was untill we looked it up online.
After doing a little research we found ourselves on the way out to Gorman, CA to go on our rock crawling / 4 wheeling expedition. For most of us it took around 2 hours to get to the trail head, and with an early start on the road we met up at the flying-J gas station to fuel up and hit the trail.
Having never been wheeling in this forest before, we did end up taking what you would usually consider to be a wrong turn but we were in it for the exploration, so i guess you can't really call it wrong if you're open to going wherever the trail takes you.
We eventually made our way through the Lockwood trail, and heading up Miller Jeep Trail, we were almost done when we met Steve with a CJ that wouldn't run.
Rob of NoWhiteFenders.com was able to give him a tow up around the next bend in the steep rocky hill climb. Where we all took a break and a few started fiddling with the adjustments on his new carb. and blew out the dirty air filter with CO2 which got Steve's CJ back and running and was able to finsh the final hill climb ending Miller Jeep Trail.
After a long day of wheeling, some of us hit the pavement heading home complete the 300+ mile trip for the day while the guys from Orange County Toys decided to stay another night.
It was a pretty good day, but running 300+ miles in one day is something that i don't recomend.
Amongst all the constant travel I did manage to get a few pics, enjoy.
